Why I'm running.
I've always been a conservative and I've spent most of my working life as a broadcaster. Delivering news and information fairly and honestly was my part of the battle. Sometimes I rationalized that I was doing missionary work among the liberals. About four years ago, I began to realize they may have been listening but it wasn't doing any good; elected officials continued to raise taxes and spend our tax dollars foolishly. I decided that I could either continue to complain about governments that waste our money and demand more each day or I could try to do something about it.
I believe that life is sacred from conception to natural death and I believe that there's nothing ambiguous in the 2nd Amendment; the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right granted by God and guaranteed by the US Constitution. And I believe that the foundation of our nation and our state is the untrammeled respect for private property.
The preservation of liberty and freedom is vital to the future of Minnesota. With that as my touchstone, I seek to represent the voters of House District 12A in the Minnesota State Legislature. I believe we can do better.
